A New Chapter

After more than 30 years of buying and selling art and antiques, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I am closing the retail portion of my business so that I can dedicate myself fully to making art. A large and impressive 19th century 'anima sola' folk retablo from Mexico. The anima sola (lonesome soul) is a departed ancestral soul awaiting judgment in the flames of purgatory. The Anima Sola may be invoked when a family member or loved one dies in sin or conversely, to send an enemy to a state of temporary suffering or misery in purgatory.
