La Preciosa Sangre de Cristo

This 19th century folk retablo represents "La Preciosa Sangre de Cristo". La Vindimia Mistica, as it is also known, represents Christ after the crucifixion. He is usually accompanied by seven sacrificial lambs and surrounded by grape leaves, a eucharistic symbol which represents the blood of Christ.
