This charming 19th century folk retablo from Mexico, dated 1870, represents San Antonio de Padua, the patron saint of lost items, the poor, travelers, sailors and expectant mothers. The retablo is signed 'D.A.' in lower right for 'Domiciano Aguilar', one of the only known retablo painters to sign his work.
Dimensions: 14 inches vertical x 10 inches horizontal.
