This 19th century Mexican folk retablo represents San Camilo de Lelis, also known as the Red Cross Saint. San Camilo is the patron saint of sick and dyeing people. In retablo art he is usually depicted as he is here, ministering to an invalid at the hour of death while angels and imps compete for the dyeing man's departing soul.

Attributed to Agustin Barajas, also known as the 'skimpy painter.'
