This rare 19th century oil on tin retablo painting from Mexico represents San Cayetano, the patron saint of gamblers. San Cayetano is venerated in Mexico to bring money and luck for gamblers. His heavily ornamented chain and belt are a reference to his rejection of wealth. Circa 1860.
Displayed in a period wood frame.
