He is almost always depicted as he is here, surrounded by cooking paraphernalia, a stove, pots, pans, colorful fruits, vegetables and his kitchen cat. San Pascual is venerated by cooks, and by those seeking a good meal. He is sought to protect against cattle plagues, famine and contagious ills.
