A New Chapter

After more than 30 years of buying and selling art and antiques, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I am closing the retail portion of my business so that I can dedicate myself fully to making art. This transition marks the beginning of a long held dream, and I’m excited for what lies ahead. As part of the process, I will be liquidating my inventory over the coming months.

To thank everyone who has supported me throughout the years, please use the discount code DIVERS at checkout to receive an automatic 40% discount on all available inventory. Happy to entertain offers as well. Thank you for your patronage, friendship, and encouragement.

A rare 19th century silver 'Hamsa' from Morocco

Illustrated in 'The Hand in Morocco', page 50. From the author's personal collection.

The 'Hamsa', or 'Hand of Fatima' as it is also known, is a hand shaped amulet that is worn (usually on a chain or neckalce) throughout North Africa and parts of the Middle East as a sign of protection. It is a potent symbol of defense that is commonly used for protection against the powerful evil eye.

The Hamsa offered here comes from the coastal city of Essaouira in Morocco's western Marrakesh-Safi region. The obverse face features a pair of overlapping fish in the form of a cross.

** Copy of book included
